Canadian Niagara Power Inc. (hereinafter “CNPI”) Electronic e-Billing Enrollment Contest (“the Contest”) will run from 12:01 a.m. EST on January 1, 2022, until 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2022 (“the Contest Period”).
Prizes
There is one (1) prize to be won:
- One eligible entry will be selected within the FortisOntario wide new e-Billing enrollments to receive the contest grand prize of a Kia Niro hybrid.
Entry
No purchase is necessary, but your entry must be received by online entry during the Contest Period.
A valid entry will be given to customers who:
1. Register for e-Billing via https://myaccount.cnpower.com/app/register.jsp
Customers who enrolled in e-Billing with CNPI prior to January 1, 2022 are not eligible for entry.
To constitute an entry, each e-Billing enrollment must be completed by the end of the Contest Period. In addition, each e-Billing enrollment shall be subject to approval and confirmation by CNPI. Any e-Billing enrollment not so approved or confirmed by CNPI, or determined by CNPI to be incomplete, inactive or otherwise ineligible, shall not constitute an entry into the Contest. The determination of approval, completeness, activity or ineligibility may occur after the end of the Contest Period.
Any other method of entry is void. Non-compliance with any entry procedure will result in disqualification. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST December 31, 2022 (the “Contest Closing Date”).
Draw
Following the end of the Contest Period, one eligible entry will be selected to receive the contest grand prize of a Kia Niro hybrid.
To win, the selected entrant (or, in the case of a business or commercial customer, the owner or an officer) must correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question and must return the properly executed release form within the specified time. The selected entrants will be notified by telephone, email and/or mail approximately the first week following the end of the Contest period. If the skill-testing question is answered incorrectly or if the selected entrant does not respond to the attempts to contact him/ her/it or the properly executed release form is not returned within the specified time, then he/ she/it will be disqualified from this Contest and an alternate entry will be randomly drawn from the pool of eligible entries. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within two weeks after the first attempt of notification, his/her/its opportunity to win the prize will be forfeited and another selected entrant will be randomly drawn. CNPI will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a selected entrant.
General Rules
Any entry which is in violation of these Rules and Regulations or received after the end of the Contest Period is void, and the entrant shall be disqualified from the Contest.
This contest is open to CNPI customers in good standing at the time of the draw. Residential entrants must be residents of Ontario who have reached the age of majority. If a business or commercial customer is selected as a winner, the business owner or officer will be assigned the prize for distribution at his/her sole discretion.

In these rules and regulations, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, partner and/or spouse.
The selected entrant will also be required to sign a declaration and release form (“the Release Form”) confirming compliance with these Rules and Regulations, acceptance of the prize as awarded, without substitution and releasing CNPI, its affiliates and respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with the prize or the Contest. The Release Form must be returned within the time period specified or the prize will be forfeited.
No communication will be entered into except with the selected entrant. By entering the Contest, all entrants consent to the use, without compensation, of their name, city of residence, audio/ video image, statements, and/or photograph in any related publicity. The prizes are nontransferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Notwithstanding anything contained in these Rules and Regulations, the Released Parties do not accept any responsibility for loss, damage or claims from any cause whatsoever relating to the Contest. The Released Parties will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, falsified and/or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. The Released Parties will not be responsible for any failure of the website during the Contest or for any problems or technical malfunction of computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email, online or Internet entry to be received by CNPI, whether due to technical problems, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof or any other cause, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.
The use of an invalid email address will void the entry. Entrants using multiple email addresses to enter the Contest will be disqualified from the Contest. In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the applicable CNPI account. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider or other organization (e.g. educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the email account at the time of entry will be deemed the entrant. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. The sole determinants of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in the Contest are the Contest server machine(s).
CNPI reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to terminate, amend or modify this Contest or any part thereof at any time and in any way, without prior notice; however, CNPI may give notice of any such termination, amendment or modification on its website. Without limitation, CNPI reserves the right, in its sole discretion; to cancel or suspend the Internet portion of the Contest should a virus, bug or any other cause beyond CNPI’s reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest.
Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, CNPI reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
All entries become the permanent property of CNPI and no entry will be returned.
